Founder-operator moving into programme delivery and digital for development. Building infrastructure for smallholder supply chains.
I'm Nikhil Pradhan. I build operational infrastructure for places spreadsheets forgot.
Since 2021 I've been CEO of ApiCare, an agri-tech venture operating in Sikkim — India's only fully organic state. We work with 125+ smallholder beekeepers and farmers across three Himalayan districts. The Government of Sikkim selected ApiCare as a private-sector partner under RAMP — a World Bank-financed MSME programme the state implements. Our supply chain has cleared three KPMG audit cycles with zero findings and we are building toward an EU export pipeline.
In 2025 I joined the Erasmus Mundus MBA program in Impact Entrepreneurship (EMMIE) — a fellowship that's taken me from Zagreb to Vilnius and, in September 2026, on to Liège. I graduate in December 2026.
Alongside the MBA, I'm building FarmLedger — an AI traceability and credit-profile platform for the world's smallest farms. It records every trade a farmer makes with customers, businesses and FPOs, and multimodal AI turns that transaction history into a credit profile a bank can underwrite against. The work sits at the intersection of traceability infrastructure, smallholder finance, and the kind of supply-chain transparency that EUDR will require by 2027. FarmLedger is also the subject of my MBA thesis.
What's next
I'm moving toward programme management and digital-for-development roles. At ApiCare I've been on the delivery end of a public-private partnership — government counterparts, audit cycles, training schedules, and farmers who need the system to work on the first try. I want to help design and run those programmes from the institution side. Graduating December 2026, open to relocating anywhere, and open to conversations now.
